Late 2024 Chatswood RSL opened its new sports bar, with the aim of enticing younger members and visitors to the area, and it’s wasted no time tapping into America’s global football event.
The north shore club is not new to reinvention, and this latest development has introduced a dynamic new entertainment offering.
Called Yogi’s Sports Bar, the classic American sports-themed bar aims to become the go-to destination for viewing live sporting events and more.
It started off strongly, screening NFL, NBL and footy, while February promises a multitude of choices including the NFL super bowl, which kicks off at 10:30am Monday 10 February.
The iconic ‘tailgate party’ is set to be Sydney’s best, from pregame hype with a live DJ, $29pp bottomless wings and fries until halftime, $20 Budweiser buckets and more.
The latest Super Bowl destination is only 12 minutes away from Barangaroo via a metro ride, and with the latest audio and video technology including two 173” LED live screens, 25 additional screens and private booths it promises a high-energy atmosphere for all sports fans.
Yogi’s broadcasts a range of sports from both Australia and the US, including cricket, UFC, NFL, NBA, NRL and boxing.
With a capacity for 300, Yogi’s offers a mix of seating options from groups to private dining, including booths with personalised screens. One booking option includes ‘best seats in the house’, which secures a prime position in front of a 173-inch big screen.

Beyond the screens, Yogi’s also offers a separate ‘Games Zone’ boasting a range of games including electronic darts and foosball.
A feature athletic track leads visitors from space to space, which are decorated with vibrant murals and neon signage.
Headed by venue manager Tony Rudolph (ex-Canterbury Leagues Club), the bar offers classic and craft beers while the menu offers American-style bites as well as wood-fired pizzas.
Designer Natalie Dufton, of Pony Design Co, said the interior details incorporated materials like grandstand seating and cage wire, inspired by sporting venues.
The concept and strategy were created by Tully Heard Consulting, who are behind other ventures such as The Oaks at Neutral Bay’s ‘Taffy’s’, and Ready’s, in Doyalson.
“Yogi’s Sports Bar is set to bring an energetic and exciting atmosphere to the North Shore hospitality scene,” said director John Tully.
“Tapping into the global trend of younger markets seeking more experience-based outings, Yogi’s offers the perfect blend of great food, drinks, and immersive sports entertainment – creating a vibrant destination where fans can fully engage in the excitement of live sports.”
This development follows the recent sale of nearby Chatswood Hotel, signalling continued interest in the area’s growing appeal.
