The Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo (AHG) will begin in two weeks and gaming manufacturers IGT and Ainsworth are pumped to show off the new wares.
Set to take place in the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre 12-13 March, the AHG will showcase over a hundred industry suppliers, including all the big names in gaming machines.
IGT is “set to sizzle” this year with release of its Fire Dragon series, delivering player-favourite Hold ‘N’ Spin mechanics with a new centre reel that fires up gameplay opportunities.

The company previewed Fire Dragon at the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) in Sydney in 2024, and reports receiving both positive feedback and input from operators.
“In the months following the show, we’ve actively incorporated these insights and are now set to launch a game series that has evolved from ‘good’ to ‘great’ with further enhancements, both to gameplay and overall product presentation,” says Matt Wright, IGT product manager for APAC.
“Additionally, IGT continues to push the boundaries and build on its ‘global strength, local focus’ approach, offering a healthy portfolio of games; tailored to boost player entertainment and drive venue revenues.”
Further games IGT is displaying at AHG include global performers and innovative features, with new styles of gameplay, such as: Triple Ingot Jackpots, Mystery of the Lamp, and the dynamic link and SAP series Eternal Riches.
Also on show will be IGT’s Advantage Club system and its EZ product portfolio, enabling venues to be “more agile, competitive and deliver a frictionless user experience” as the gaming landscape in Australia moves toward digital and cashless technology.

Also gearing up for the Expo is Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT), which says it is thrilled to embark on ‘A New Era’ in 2025.
Established in 1995, AGT enters its fourth decade with the introduction of a fresh strategy aimed at “enhancing player engagement and operational success”.

In the arena of Advanced Cabinet Design, AGT is introducing its new RAPTOR cabinet to the APAC region. It combines ergonomic comfort and striking aesthetics, highlighted by a distinctive cylindrical display, and exceptional audiovisual performance, courtesy of triple 32-inch monitors and an 18.5-inch touchscreen button deck that features twin ‘bash’ buttons. The design aims to enhance player engagement while meeting operators’ requirements for durability and operational efficiency.
AGT’s Game Portfolio approach for 2025 focuses on simplicity and trending mechanisms, including ‘Cash on Reels’, ‘Hold N Spin’, and ‘Credit Collection’. 2025 brings five new game families, led by Year of the Snake, Eagle Riches, and Nugget Hunter, and soon to be released Dragons Treasure and Fortune Bull.
AGT also cites Strategic Leadership Renewal, having restructured its Australian operation, creating a renewed focus that emphasises collaboration with operators to deliver market-driven solutions that enhance player satisfaction and optimise revenue streams.
“As we embark on this exciting new era, our game development approach focuses on trending mechanisms,” offers Troy Primmer, President of the APAC region.
“We are committed to designing games players want to play and showcasing them in the striking RAPTOR cabinet.”
