Cornerstone of the Coast, Broadbeach Bowls Club, has officially completed and unveiled its multi-stage renovation, securing the next chapter of its future as a community stalwart.
Established in March 1954, the Club has enjoyed a long history as an icon of the Gold Coast, hosting bowls, at both social and international tournament levels, family entertainment, and casual dining.
The BBC has gone through an extensive transformation inspired by the coastal allure of Broadbeach, delivering a contemporary hospitality venue geared for sporting excellence. Encompassing nearly every part of the club, the recent works continued earlier upgrades to the dining areas and balcony.
Inside, refreshed interiors see ambient lighting, and a ‘touch of elegance’ courtesy of warm textures and a subdued palette. There is now an expanded gaming room featuring 49 of the latest EGMs, and a brand-new sports and betting lounge, with upgraded TAB area.
Completion of the new facilities marks a major milestone, ushering a new era of in-venue promotions throughout the week while maintaining “the same great Bulls atmosphere you know and love”.
BBC general manager Simon Neale says they aimed to better equip the club for inevitable change while preserving its legacy.
“The renovation was about honouring the Club’s rich history while setting the stage for its future.”
The venerable Australian Open Finals – the “world’s largest bowls festival” – took place last week at Broadbeach Bowls Club, home to professional team the Broadbeach Bulls. The competition brought together over 3,500 competitors, vying for over $300,000 in prize money.
“Broadbeach Bowls Club has long been a community hub and a home for world-class bowls, and we wanted to ensure the facilities matched that reputation,” explains Neale.
“Our goal was to modernise and elevate the member and visitor experience without losing the Club’s welcoming spirit.
“This transformation ensures we remain a destination for both social connection and elite sport for years to come.”
