Twin Towns Clubs and Resorts (Twin Towns) directors Ragina Rogers and Sharon Styman are spearheading a new program, ‘EmpowHer Club Leadership’.
Driven by their personal experiences, this initiative was created to empower women in leadership roles within the club industry, fostering growth through mentorship, skill development, and genuine, impactful conversations.
Twin Towns has long demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting its community through various initiatives, laying a solid foundation for programs like EmpowHer to thrive.

Rogers and Styman are Twin Towns’ first female directors, and the recognition that other women may not have the same resources or opportunities as the pair inspired them to introduce the program.
The two wished to increase opportunities for women in the clubs industry by developing skills and providing mentorship, offering advice about how boards operate.
While Styman is driven by breaking new ground for women, Rogers grew her confidence in the boardroom through her increasing skills in governance along with a rise in emotional intelligence, a combination that now assists her in leading with effectiveness and empathy.
The women realised the value of advocacy and mentorship after challenges such as being spoken over and re-asserting their own expertise, and wanted to ensure that women felt they could belong in the boardrooms and lead with confidence.
They recognised that mentorship is crucial to push women forward and initiated the program to create a clear and supported pathway for all women in the clubs industry, normalising equity and increasing access to opportunities to shift the current paradigm.
In the last four years that Rogers has sat on the club’s board, she has seen significant progress in various aspects of Indigenous governance as well as community engagement and is passionate about ensuring a more inclusive environment in leadership.
Through EmpowHer Club Leadership, Rogers and Styman are paving the way for a more inclusive, equitable, and empowered future for women in the club industry.
