The progressive Anglesea Golf Club has expanded its appeal to both golfers and visitors with the addition of new onsite townhouses available to rent for short stays and more.
Anglesea is an 18-hole, 6,028-metre course close to Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road, just two kilometres from the beach and the town centre. The course is also famously home to more than 300 eastern grey kangaroos, and boasts a 12-bay driving range.
In 2017 the Board and members voted to proceed with an investment into Anglesea Golf Club Accommodation, but construction did not begin until after COVID, in late 2022. They were completed last year.

Set in the heart of play the three new rentable dwellings enjoy a view of the golf course and provide guests an “unparalleled ‘stay and play’ experience”, offering opportunity to enjoy life by the beach and bush.

Designed as open-plan, the air-conditioned, family-friendly rooms come with a lounge room, a fully functional kitchen and dining area, smart TVs, three bedrooms – sleeping six guests, and three full bathrooms, a garage and buggy storage.
There are also decks at the front and rear, ideal for hosting visitors or relaxing after a day on the links.

The houses are geared for flexibility, allowing stays of a weekend, week or longer. The club has a bar, and bistro open for lunch and dinner.
And conscious of the needs of those not playing a round, there are daily kangaroo tours, and beside the townhouses is an 18-hole mini golf course designed with every level of player in mind, offering both absolute beginners opportunity for a ‘hole-in-one’ and the ultimate challenge for the competitive golfer.
Club director Geoff Hose believes the townhouses are a great investment for the club, aiming to be a quality getaway for a broad range of visitors.
“The accommodation is a $3 million dollar investment and asset for the club, which we hope will attract tourists both domestically and internationally for short and extended stays,” explains Shannon Simmons, the club’s marketing and membership administrator.
“It offers a great opportunity for families to visit and corporate partners to bring their employees and clients, making it a premier destination for golf, relaxation, and family fun.”
They are managed by local family-owned business Regional Escapes, and prices per night vary depending on the time of year.
“We will be including Stay and Play packages in the coming months so golfers can enjoy premium golf at a discounted rate,” added Simmons.
