Dapto Leagues Club is on the lookout for a talented local artist to create a public mural in celebration of its 70th anniversary.
The artwork will feature prominently on the club’s Bong Bong Road wall, with the brief asking for “a vibrant tribute to the Club’s 70-year journey” as well as acknowledging the community that made it.

The mural will be a permanent piece, and while the club is open to the style it asks that the work feels authentic and welcoming while capturing the spirit of Dapto as it is today, reflecting the creativity, connection and pride of the area.
The location of the mural is in a high foot traffic area visible from both Bong Bong Road and Marshall Street and may expand around a corner and adjacent window frames.

Potential artists are requested to submit an expression of interest (EOI) and must also adhere to the club’s colour palette and current branding, with the installation period to be during November and December this year.
Guidelines also include a “heartfelt and high impact” style with suggested design elements of the club’s history, other local sporting clubs, community life, and “abstract references to movement and legacy”.
The club will provide artist fees and materials, wall preparation, promotion, project oversight and assistance with site access, permissions and logistics.
The deadline for EOI submissions is Sunday, 31 August 2025. Submissions must include a written concept outline, including an indication of the style and artistic techniques, examples of previous work and a proposed installation timeline.
