The Top End’s popular Casuarina All Sports Club, which is fully leased to Casuarina All Sports Incorporated until July 2030, has been purchased from a private investor by Sentinel Property Group for $17.15 million.
The venue, established in 1995, is one of the Top End’s most popular clubs, boasting approximately 18,000 members. With 55 gaming machines, Keno and full TAB facilities, the club has picked up a number of hospitality and gaming awards including the 2015 AHA (NT) Aristocrat Technologies Awards for Excellence for Best Club Gaming Venue and Best NT Keno Venue.
The move follows Sentinel Property Group’s acquisition of Casuarina Square, Darwin’s largest shopping centre precinct, in March of this year. Sentinel paid $418 million for Casuarina Square, with group chief executive Warren Ebert describing the asset as a “once in a generation opportunity”. The club’s adjoining CasCom Centre – a business park on 19,000 square metres – is already owned by Sentinel Regional Office Trust.
Mr Ebert said Sentinel Property Group had identified a “tremendous opportunity” to add value to Casuarina as a commercial centre through the company’s long-term plan for extensive retail and residential development.
