As we work with producers from across the country, we are always on the lookout for stand-out products that can elevate multiple dishes on a menu, as well as hit the mark in terms of quality and price-point. And we just found a great one… Morella Grove Gourmet Peri Peri Sauce!
Morella Grove is best known for its award-winning olive oil. The groves, located just outside Griffith, were established by the Dal Bon family in 2008 using outstanding Italian varieties of olive trees chosen for their intense flavour and colour. The olives are grown chemically free using the best environmental practices.
The olives are harvested in May then processed, stored and bottled using the world’s best technology, and a whole lot of love, to achieve a standard of excellence that guarantees consistent quality. In recent years, Morella Grove has expanded its range with a number of high-quality sauces and relishes including an exceptional Peri Peri sauce using Australian-grown chillies.
The sauce is really versatile. It can be used as a marinade, glaze, dipping or finishing sauce. It’s beautifully balanced and full of flavour due to a great combination of spices, but it’s not too hot. It is striking, with vibrant red colour and a glossy finish. And the texture is smooth, boasting a velvety mouthfeel due to the exceptional quality oil used to blend it. So it really does hit the mark on quality and flavour and is ideal for a busy club kitchen.
Some clubs that have already discovered it are using it on pizzas, complemented by a drizzle of aioli. It is also being used as a marinade for butterflied chicken, served on the side of schnitzel and french fries or used to finish Portuguese chicken burgers.
Morella Grove’s Gourmet Piri Piri, available in 1ltr and 4ltr tubs, is one of the most popular products. The range also includes a stunning Chilli Relish which is a perfect match for beef burgers and comes in 1kg foodservice size.
